Agus Gurniwa, B.Sc. (Geology)
Position: Senior Geologist

Agus Gurniwa graduated with a bachelor of science in Geology from the Academy of Mining and Geology, Bandung, Indonesia in 1976. He is a Member of the Indonesian Association of Geologists. He worked for the state Bureau of Mineral Resources (BMR) for 30 years in a number of geological positions, primarily involved in the national geochemistry mapping program. Both during and after his tenure with the BMR Mr. Gurniwa worked with a number of multinational companies including Mincon Abadi (1987-1988), Paragon Resources (1988-1989), Ashton Mining (1994-1995), Snowden & Associates (1996), Diadem Resources (1997), Golden Valley Mines Ltd (1997-1998) and Southern Arc Minerals (2005-present). During his career Mr. Gurniwa has been involved in all facets of exploration from regional reconnaissance through to feasibility studies, investigating epithermal Au-Ag, porphyry Cu-Au, VHMS, base metal skarns and alluvial gold mineralization types. Currently, Mr. Gurniwa holds a position as senior geologist with Southern Arc, primarily involving in diamond drilling activites at the Selodong, Mencanggah and Pelangan Prospects.    

Putut Wijaya, B.Sc. (Geology)
Position: Senior Geologist

Putut Wijaya graduated with a bachelor degree in geology from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 1986. Mr. Wijaya has 20 years of experience in the Indonesian mining exploration sector, holding a number of exploration positions with Ashton Indonesia (1988-1993), Dominion Mining Ltd (1993-1994), Aurora Gold (1994-1995), Placer Dome (1995-1996), Yamana Resources (1996-1998), Placer Pacific (1998-1999), Normandy Anglo Asia (1999), a local artesan mining company (2000-2003), and Aperio Ltd (2006-2008). Through his career he has been involved in reconnaissance exploration to feasibility study stages of exploration for beach mineral sands, epithermal Au-Ag, porphyry Cu-Au, and VHMS mineralization types. Currently, Mr. Putut holds a position as senior geologist with Southern Arc, primarily involving diamond drilling activities at the Selodong, Mencanggah and Pelangan Prospects.    

Djonet Widianto, B.Sc. (Geology)
Position: Senior Field Geologist

Djonet Widianto graduated with a bachelor degree in geology from Pakuan University, Bogor, Indonesia in 1991. He is a member of Indonesian Association of Geologists. Mr. Widianto joined Southern Arc in 2003 as senior field geologist and currently leads the company's exploration efforts on the East Elang and Sabalong properties. Mr. Widianto has 16 years of experience in the engineering and the mining exploration sectors, having held positions with BHP-Utah (1994), Pacific Amber Resources (1996-1997), Golden Valley Mines(1997-2000) and Placer Dome Exploration (2001-2003). During his career Mr. Widianto has been involved in exploration programs primarily focusing on epithermal Au-Ag and porphyry Cu-Au targets throughout the Indonesian archipelago.  

Hartono Lahar, B.Sc. (Geology), M.Sc. (Applied Geology)
Position: Senior Field Geologist

Hartono Lahar graduated with a degree in geology from the Academy of Geology and Mining, Bandung, Indonesia in 1977, which was later followed by a masters degree in applied geology from the Universite de France Compte, Besancon, France. Mr. Lahar was core member of the joint IGS/British Geological Survey team, which geochemically mapped the islands of Sumatra and Sulawesi during 1980-1992. Since 1992 until present Mr. Lahar has held a number of geological positions with foreign exploration/mining houses including Normandy Anglo Ltd, Meekathara Minerals, Golden Valley Mines and Western Mining Corporation. Mr. Hartono joined Southern Arc in 2004 as senior field geologist and is currently involved in the exploration activities of the company's West Sumbawa properties.
